A tragic murder-suicide unfolded early Wednesday morning in Hallandale Beach, Miami, when 27-year-old model Sabrina Dzaferovic allegedly shot and killed her 34-year-old husband, Pajtim Krasniqi, before turning the gun on herself. The incident took place on the oceanfront balcony of their luxury condo at Beach Club II Hallandale, located on the 45th floor.
Police responded to the scene just after 12:30 a.m. and found both bodies on the blood-spattered balcony. The couple was pronounced dead at the scene by Hallandale Beach Police Department.
Sabrina, also known as Sabrina Krasniqi, and her husband were reportedly involved in a violent altercation leading to the fatal shooting. Albana Krasniqi, Pajtim’s sister, expressed her devastation in a Facebook post, revealing that Sabrina had shot her brother five times. “Pajtimi’s wife chose to take my brother’s life away from him when she shot 5 bullets into his chest,” she wrote.
“The person he trusted the most, the person he chose to spend his life with was the one who took his away from him. She betrayed him, his love, and his trust. She shattered my family.” Albana’s emotional post reflected the deep sorrow and shock her family is enduring, as she added, “My siblings and I will never be the same. I’m terrified my mother will not ever recover.”
Aerial footage from the scene showed what appeared to be bullet holes in a glass door, with pools of blood nearby, NBC6 reported. Pajtim’s nephew, Abi Gashi, spoke to the New York Post about the loss of his uncle. “I loved him like a brother. We had a connection like none other. He brightened up every room he was in. We’re all still in shock, expecting him to walk in the door any minute,” said Gashi, 20.
Gashi shared that the couple had relocated from New York to Florida two years ago in search of a “paradise life.” While Gashi wasn’t sure of the specifics of Pajtim’s work, he knew it involved “something to do with stocks.” Sabrina, on the other hand, had worked as a model before becoming a housewife.
The motive behind the fatal shooting remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.
