Prince Harry ‘Looking Back Through Rose-Tinted Spectacles,’ Considers Permanent UK Home

Prince Harry is reportedly considering establishing a permanent home in the UK, as he grapples with feelings of nostalgia and missing aspects of his former life, according to royal expert Tom Quinn. The claims come amidst reports that Harry, who currently resides in California with Meghan Markle, is feeling the pull of his old friendships and lifestyle in Britain.

In an interview with The Mirror, Quinn revealed that the Duke of Sussex is rethinking his long-term plans and may be looking to secure a base in the UK following his and Meghan’s eviction from Frogmore Cottage. Quinn explained, “As time goes by, Harry misses some aspects of his old life in the UK.

Inevitably, the honeymoon period where everything in the States is new and exciting is coming to an end, and Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles.” This sense of longing for his British roots seems to be focused particularly on the relationships Harry left behind.

The royal expert elaborated, “He misses his Old Etonian and army friends, many of whom have not visited as they don’t get on with Meghan.” The strain in Harry’s social circle has reportedly contributed to his desire for a more stable presence in the UK. In addition to the emotional pull, Quinn suggested that Harry’s ongoing legal battles regarding security arrangements are also part of his plan to make returning to the UK easier.

“Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security,” Quinn said. This ongoing legal fight reflects Harry’s concerns about maintaining adequate protection for his family during potential visits or stays in Britain.

These revelations come as Prince Harry is set to return to the UK today for the WellChild charity event, a cause he has long championed. While his visit will be brief, the recent claims about his longing for a permanent base in Britain suggest that Harry may be looking to spend more time in the country where he was born.

The Duke of Sussex’s evolving relationship with his homeland, paired with his responsibilities in California, continues to be a topic of public interest, raising questions about how Harry will balance his life between two continents in the future.
