Trump Accuses Kamala Harris of ‘Deliberately Understaffing’ Secret Service to Thwart Campaign Rally

Donald Trump has leveled serious accusations against Vice President Kamala Harris, claiming she deliberately understaffed the U.S. Secret Service to prevent him from holding an outdoor rally in Wisconsin. The former president’s remarks came after he was forced to move his campaign event from an airport to a smaller indoor venue in Prairie du Chien, a change he attributed to security issues.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump expressed his frustration, stating, “Kamala and Sleepy Joe are going out of their way to make it difficult for me to Campaign.” He recounted that despite a large turnout, with “one of the biggest crowds I’ve ever seen,” they ended up using a “750-seat theater,” which led to over 50,000 supporters being turned away.

Trump pointed fingers at Harris and President Joe Biden, claiming their priorities were misaligned. He alleged that the administration had prioritized the safety of world leaders attending the United Nations General Assembly in New York, including Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, over his rally’s security. “They were unable to give us Secret Service protection commensurate with the crowd because they had to protect the President of Iran, who is doing everything possible to kill me, at the United Nations event,” he said.

The Secret Service has confirmed that its personnel and resources were “pushed to their limits” due to the heightened security obligations during the UN General Assembly, which includes protecting over 140 world leaders. Trump claimed that this shift in security forced his campaign to disappoint tens of thousands of supporters who had gathered for the event.

“I only hope all of those people that were turned away will blame the Creeps from the Harris-Biden Administration, namely, the Opposing Party, that did this to them,” Trump declared. He called the situation “a disgrace” and acknowledged that while the 750 attendees in the theater had a great time, he was committed to returning to Wisconsin to make it up to those who were turned away.

He added, “We will get back up to Wisconsin very soon, and we’ll get to a venue that can handle all of them, probably an outside area. If it weren’t for politics, they would have had no problem supplying us with Secret Service Security.”

Trump’s comments reflect the ongoing tensions between him and the Biden administration as the political landscape intensifies leading up to the 2024 presidential election.
